FTC Team 26000 · Brisbane, Australia
Three generations strong, Theseus Robotics remains a student-led, student-first initiative unlike any other.
Our story
Theseus Robotics began with two high-school students who wanted to keep building after school policy said stop.
Today, we're a fully community-based, non-profit company competing in the FIRST Tech Challenge as Team 26000. For three generations of students, Theseus has given aspiring engineers and young minds the platform to reach further than they ever would have under school-based robotics programs. Now consisting of 20+ alumni, members, and mentors across three countries internationally, we hope the Theseus story inspires others to take the leap and build something bigger than themselves.
Theseus Robotics has no school backing, and no safety net. In our rookie season we went from a borrowed field to the World Championship in Houston. Members graduate, robots are stripped for parts in the endless pursuit of operational efficiency, and each September the challenge resets. Yet, every season, the core philosophy remains.

In the spotlight
The FUN Robotics Network spotlights the machines and teams at the forefront of technical innovation in FTC on its highly viewed Behind the Bot YouTube series. In recognition of our excellence across all aspects of robot design, Theseus was the first team ever to earn two in a single season, and the only team ever to earn four across only two years of competition.
